Smith premier is a small family run business owned by Stuart who has over 30 years’ experience in the motor industry which begun back in 1994 at Renault Berkhamsted, he worked himself up to senior positions and went on to work with brands such as Lexus, BMW and Mercedes, then owning his own Motor dealerships from 2008 to 2019.

By 2019 it became incredibly hard to find quality stock with the rise of the large car buying companies and their close ties to the big auction houses, our sister company Herts Used Car Buyers was then founded to offer a better, more honest way for people to sell their cars locally and provide the smaller independent dealers like us the chance to purchase some quality stock and also giving individuals better fair prices for their cars.

Here at Smith Premier we pick the best cars with the lowest mileage and great history to retail on, all purchased from private sellers, we generally specialise in cars up to 10 years old with full service history, however make exemptions for some really nice well looked after individual cars, we also buy and sell classic cars with great heritage.
